Jesus said, 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. Sermon link: https://soundcloud.com/oisarchurch/john14-18thru18 The definition of an orphan is one deprived by death of one or usually both parents. An orphan is one deprived by death of some protection. The greatest hope of an orphan is that a loving, caring, stable parent will come along and choose to adopt them into their family and care for them with the true fervent love only a parent can provide. This is the earthly and temporary component of an orphan, but there is also an spiritual and eternal component. A child that has lost earthly parents is an orphan, but all of humanity is born into sin and we are all spiritual orphans in the world system of Satan at the age of accountability until we repent and put our faith in Jesus Christ so that He can adopt us into the family of God. We are not born into the family of God by heritage. We have to be born again to be adopted by The Father and receive His full inheritance of eternal life in His presence. God through Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit is the builder and maker of the way of salvation. He has done all that is necessary to provide forgiveness and eternal life by His perfect, sufficient, and acceptable sacrifice and resurrection. He chose to provide out of love. He chose you to be adopted into His family, but unlike the earthly orphan who doesn't have a choice of parents, God by his grace and mercy has given you a choice to choose Him as your Father. He chooses you. Will you choose Him? Both are required to receive adoption of the Father. If you have acknowledged the sin in your life and that you deserve the judgment and wrath of God then you know you desperately need forgiveness, mercy, justification, and righteousness. The wages of sin is death and you need eternal life. All people have a sin and death problem and the only answer is to repent and believe in Jesus Christ so you may receive forgiveness and life. Then you are adopted as a child of the living God. A child of the living God is no orphan! We will not be deprived by death because He conquered death for us. GOD LOVES YOU. DO YOU LOVE GOD? Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. John 8:42 A person can't love God without loving Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. Jesus said, If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1 John 3:23 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1 Timothy 2:5

What things are inseparably connected to the resurrection of Jesus Christ? God's faithfulness to His promised word and our salvation. In short, everything that pertains to faith, hope, love, truth, forgiveness, justification, sanctification, glorification, righteousness, reconciliation, holiness, and eternal life. 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11:25-26 The resurrected Jesus said. 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Revelation 1:18
